Do I Prefer Left Field Or Right Field?
Now that I have 7 games under my belt, 5 times in Right Field, and twice in Left Field, I've concluded that there is a significant difference between the two assignments, and I do actually have a preference. To understand my choice, you need to picture in your mind, that whether I'm in Left or Right Field, I'm sitting there facing the batter, with my glove on my left hand. When I'm in Left Field, my glove is on the "field side" of my body, and with most of the plays coming towards me, or to my left, there is a slight advantage to having my glove already on that side to "reach out" to make the play, which makes those plays a bit easier. Also, in Left Field, you're on The Diamondbacks side of the field, so the fans are mostly also on your side.
